Flower and Bird Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Garden Figures

This flower and bird scroll painting renders the garden figures theme with the poise of the old masters. The overall effect is serene rather than showy, suited to a room meant for lingering. Among pieces of timeless asian wall art, this is the quiet kind: balanced, calm, and easy to live with.

Rocks emerge from the mist like the backs of great animals. The figures settles naturally into the scene, balanced against the larger forms. The garden settles naturally into the scene, balanced against the larger forms. A lone pavilion stands where the view is best, as pavilions do. The scene glows with applied color, layered over a firm ink structure.

Collectors of asian wall decor will recognize the vocabulary at once: restraint, balance, and a feel for the natural world. Every viewing finds something the last one missed. One hook and it is up; the scroll hangs straight from day one.
