Chinese Painting Scroll – Silk Wall Art – Rooster Bamboo

Silk, ink, and the rooster bamboo theme: this painting scroll painting keeps to the essentials. There is nothing hurried here; the brush takes its time, and so should the viewer. It belongs with the best of asian wall decor, the sort that settles into a room from day one.

Through ink wash alone the artist suggests distance, weather, and weight. Painted with an easy, practiced brush, the rooster feels observed rather than invented. The bamboo is brushed with swift, confident strokes, leaves flicked in pairs. Ink-dark crevices cut the rock faces, adding drama to the stillness. It is the kind of picture that grows quieter the longer you look. The details are specific enough to trust and loose enough to dream on.

As ink wash painting, it asks for nothing more than a good wall and soft light. A piece like this asks little and gives back steadily. It makes a gracious gift for weddings and new homes.
